Director (Technical) and ED (Hydro) Project at Siyom Basin
Shri Ranendra Sarma, Director (Technical) and ED (Hydro) Project at Siyom Basin.
NEEPCO has been entrusted to execute 2626 MW of Hydro projects at Siyom basin in the district of Shi Yomi and adjoining Siang district.
Heo HEP 240 MW and Tato I HEP 186MW are in the up stream of Tato II HEP in the river locally known as Shi River which comes from Mechuka and the same river is known as Yargapchu at Mechuka.
Hirong HEP 500 MW is located at Yomi river and it comes from Monigong border town.
Tato II HEP 700 MW is located at the down stream of confluence of the Shi river and Yomi river hereafter known as Siyom River.
Naying HEP 1000 MW is located at around 15 KM downstream of Tato II HEP in the Siyom River.
"Leadership in action" two weeks intensive Advance Management Program
D(P) taking a session on the topic "Leadership in action" at the two weeks intensive Advance Management Program being organised by NTPC's Power Management Institute (PMI) from 19 to 30, Aug, 2024 at PMI, Noida. The motivational session delved on a holistic approach to leadership & practical insights covering aspects of leveraging of innate leadership skills from military experience, unique leadership traits at corporate set-up and the amalgamation of the leadership traits from the two to further leadership capabilities. D(P) also touched upon crucial leadership perspectives that can equip in driving strategic initiatives and navigate complex organizational challenges.
NEEPCO won the Dun & Bradstreet PSU Excellence Awards 2024
NEEPCO won the Dun & Bradstreet PSU Excellence Awards 2024- Power Generation-Conventional (Central PSU). Sri Santonu Bezbaruah, DGM(HR), CC&CA, received the award on behalf of NEEPCO in a programme held in Delhi.
HOP, Naying HEP met the DC and the District Land Revenue & Settlement Officer, Siang
Shri N J Goswami, HOP, Naying HEP met the DC and the District Land Revenue & Settlement Officer, Siang, regarding the project. Naying HEP (1000MW) is located around 15 Km downstream of Tato II HEP in Siyom River. While the Naying Dam is located in Shi Yomi District, the Power House is located in Siang district. In March, land compensation to 96 families of Shi-Yomi district was distributed, for the construction of the NEEPCO’s 700 MW Tato-II HEP over the Siyom river.

NEEPCO is proud to have sponsored the Directorate General Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup Football Tournament 2024, an event that showcased the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Assam Rifles organized the 2nd edition of “Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup” across all the Seven states of North East. Branded as the Sentinels Cup in line with its Sobriquet of Assam Rifles ‘Sentinels of the North East’. Seven teams from Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, besides teams of Assam Rifles & Two Territorial Army Battalions participated in the tournament. Assam Rifles aims to promote sports as a tool to motivate youth away from insurgency and drugs and to identify talent in the Northeast. They have an MoU with the Bhaichung Bhutia Football Academy to boost the Government of India's Khelo India Abhiyan and Fit India Movement. The Sentinels Cup commenced on 01 Jul 2024 at Dimapur. Four teams including DG Assam Rifles Team, Meghalaya (Black Dynamite), 165 TA Team & Mizoram, qualified for the semifinals. The Directorate General Assam Rifles football team clinched the trophy in the final match, while the team of 165 TA (Assam) emerged as runners-up in a keenly contested match. The tournament not only fostered a sense of unity but also highlighted the importance of physical fitness and teamwork. Lt Gen PC Nair, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, PhD, congratulated both teams and presented the medals and trophy.

Outbound Training Session for NTPC's Employees’ Representative Batch
Glimpses of Maj Gen R K Jha, AVSM**( Retd.), Director (Personnel), NEEPCO gracing the Outbound Training Session for NTPC's employees’ representative batch organised at Shillong on 10.06.2024 by Manushuo-Uthan. The event was also attended by Shri S.Borgohain, former Director (P) NEEPCO and senior HR officials of NEEPCO.
Director ( P) stressed on nurturing healthy, mutually beneficial and balanced relationship within the workplace for a conducive work environment that fosters cooperation, productivity and employee well-being. He also accentuated the importance of placing organisational interests above individual glory.

Maj. Gen R. K. Jha, AVSM**(Retd.), Director (Personnel) addressed the meeting with Hon'ble Chairman NSHRC, Member NSHRC, DC Wokha, SP Wokha, Secretary NSHRC. Hon'ble Chairman of NSHRC also paid a visit to NEEPCO HEALTH CENTRE and VKV, DHPS Doyang. The DHPS Team was appreciated for the impact oriented work done in the arena of health, education and for the overall development of the region at large.

Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha, AVSM**(Retd.), Director (Personnel) delivered a talk on "Battlefield to Boardroom" to the working professionals from PSUs & organizations from the Power Sector who are undergoing PGDM courses at NTPC School of Business (NSB) on 09.05.2024. Drawing from his experiences in Indian Army, Director (P) shared with the participants his journey through the trenches of leadership, exploring lessons learned on the battlefield and how they transcend into the corporate realm.
MoU signing with PMI
NEEPCO and NTPC Limited's Power Management Institute (PMI) joined hands by entering in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 09.05.24 to foster training and capacity-building cooperation. Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha, AVSM**(Retd.), Director (Personnel) initiated the MoU signing on behalf of NEEPCO in the presence of Dr. Diganta Bora, DGM(HR)i/c T&D, Shri S. Bezbaruah, DGM(HR) from NEEPCO with Smti Rachana Singh Bhal, CGM, NTPC Limited. This will be a landmark move to help our employees become future ready by upskilling in new & innovative technologies, cross-credentialing opportunities for technical and professional training, enhance professional development, strengthen capacity building across various domains and optimising the overall learning environment.
Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) Summit organised on 08.05.2024
Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC Limited & NEEPCO and Major General R K Jha, AVSM** (Retd.), Director (Personnel), NEEPCO at the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) Summit organised on 08.05.2024. The Summit which was graced by COAS Gen Manoj Pande and esteemed dignitaries from Military, delved on the theme of Role of Military Veterans in India's Growth Story.
During the event, CMD deliberated on the potential & avenues emerging in the Public and Private Sector for the Veterans who are backed by their unique set of skills, leadership skills, values and operational experience. Director (Personnel) had insightful discussion on the Skillsets of veterans, widows and Dependent that can equip them to find meaningful opportunities in the civilian environment.
