The World Environment Day was celebrated by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd. On 5th June, 2015 in association with Institution of Engineers (India), Meghalaya State Centre at the NEEPCO Corporate Head Quarter, Shillong. The meeting was addressed by Shri P.C. Pankaj, CMD, NEEPCO and the Key-note address was delivered by Shri U. Moral, Director (Technical), NEEPCO who also is the Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India), Meghalaya State Centre. Dr. O.P. Singh, Professor & Head, Department of Environmental Studies, NEHU graced the occasion as guest speaker and Dr.

NEEPCO has been awarded with Greentech HR Gold Award for Training Excellence during by the Greentech HR Foundation during its glittering 5th Greentech HR Award held at Le Meridien, Bangalore on 29th May, 2015. NEEPCO has been conferred with the award for its innovative Competency Development Model and its practices which has been replicated by others CPSEs.

श्री सत्यब्राता बोरगोहेन, निदेशक (कार्मिक), नीपको, शिलाँग को नोयकोर्सी टुडे-स्टार पीएसयू निदेशक (एचआर) ऑफ द इयर पुरस्कार (मिनी रत्न और लघु पीएसयू) से सम्मानित किया गया। यह पुरस्कार प्रसिद्ध गजल गायक गुलाम अली, लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल रिटा द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया था। ए.के. 15 मई, 2015 को नई दिल्ली के होटल ले मेरिडियन में एक शानदार समारोह में गृह राज्य मंत्री श्री सिंह, राज्यपाल अंदमान और निकोबार द्वीप और गृह राज्य मंत्री डॉ। राम शंकर कठेरिया शामिल थे।

Inauguration of Toilet at St. John Vianney’s School, Tyrsad by Shri Kenedy Khyriem, MLA on 8th May, 2015 in presence of Shri D.S.Rai, HOP, Mawphu H.E. Project, NEEPCO, Mawsynram. The Toilet was constructed by NEEPCO against Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan Under CSR Scheme.

The 1st Quarter O&M Review Meeting for the FY 2024- 25 was held at Assam Gas Based Power Station NEEPCO LTD BOKULONI w.e.f. 23rd to 24th August 2024. The 1st Qtr O&M Review meeting was chaired by the Director (Technical), Shri Ranendra Sarma, along with Executive Director (O&M) and ED (Tech). The HOPS and CGMs of all the locations of NEEPCO attended the meeting.

NEEPCO has been entrusted to execute 2626 MW of Hydro projects at Siyom basin in the district of Shi Yomi and adjoining Siang district.
Heo HEP 240 MW and Tato I HEP 186MW are in the up stream of Tato II HEP in the river locally known as Shi River which comes from Mechuka and the same river is known as Yargapchu at Mechuka.
Hirong HEP 500 MW is located at Yomi river and it comes from Monigong border town.

D(P) taking a session on the topic "Leadership in action" at the two weeks intensive Advance Management Program being organised by NTPC's Power Management Institute (PMI) from 19 to 30, Aug, 2024 at PMI, Noida. The motivational session delved on a holistic approach to leadership & practical insights covering aspects of leveraging of innate leadership skills from military experience, unique leadership traits at  corporate set-up and the amalgamation of the leadership traits from the two to further leadership capabilities.

NEEPCO won the Dun & Bradstreet PSU Excellence Awards 2024- Power Generation-Conventional (Central PSU). Sri Santonu Bezbaruah, DGM(HR), CC&CA, received the award on behalf of NEEPCO in a programme held in Delhi.

Shri N J Goswami, HOP, Naying HEP met the DC and the District Land Revenue & Settlement Officer, Siang, regarding the project. Naying HEP (1000MW) is located around 15 Km downstream of Tato II HEP in Siyom River. While the Naying Dam is located in Shi Yomi District, the Power House is located in Siang district. In March, land compensation to 96 families of Shi-Yomi district was distributed, for the construction of the NEEPCO’s 700 MW Tato-II HEP over the Siyom river.
