NEEPCO extended a hearty welcome to Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India, on his visit to the Corporation’s Corporate Office, Shillong, on 12 September 2026, where he chaired the Quarterly Performance Review (QPR) Meeting of NEEPCO.
The QPR provided a comprehensive review of NEEPCO’s overall performance, covering operational and project performance, financial performance, human resource initiatives and other key organisational priorities. Progress of ongoing and upcoming projects, financial performance and initiatives towards enhancing organisational effectiveness were discussed during the meeting.
Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram, MD, NEEPCO and Director (Projects), NTPC Limited, along with the senior management of NEEPCO, briefed the Secretary on the Corporation’s key achievements, ongoing activities, financial performance, HR initiatives, project progress and future plans.
During the review, Shri Pankaj Agarwal provided valuable guidance and direction on the way forward for NEEPCO, with emphasis on focused execution, strengthening performance and pursuing the Corporation’s strategic objectives. His guidance provided valuable direction to NEEPCO in further enhancing its contribution to the power sector and the development of the North Eastern Region.
The QPR reaffirmed NEEPCO’s commitment to operational excellence, financial sustainability, human resource development and sustainable growth, while continuing to play a key role in powering the North Eastern Region and contributing to the nation’s energy goals.
